Dermatologist Acne Treatments

September 25th, 2009

So there is a huge debate now over health insurance in the United States, I mention this incase you actually live under a rock or in a cave that happens to have internet but not any form of news, otherwise you should be well familiar with this debate. So many times people with health insurance issues have trouble seeing specialist. I bring this up, because different types of acne are treated with different types of cream. A cream that might be really effect on one person might be completely ineffective on another because those two people have two different types of acne.

So, these people might seek out a dermatologist to determine what type of acne cream is best for their particular type of acne. That being said, we are brought back to the health insurance debate. What do you do if you can’t get in to see a dermatologist? Well first, don’t underestimate the power of your primary care physician. You may not be able to get the insurance to apy for a visit just for acne, but mention during another visit that the insurance ill pay for, get in a quick consult. If that doesn’t work you have two other options, private pay for the dermatologist or seek information online. There is a lot of it, be careful, but it is a great resource with lots of accurate and helpful information.
